Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour and baking powder to prevent lumps.
Add salt and pepper, then mix well.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk and melted butter until well combined.
Gradually add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients while whisking to create a smooth batter.
Fold in the shredded cheese and chopped chives, mixing gently to distribute them evenly.
Step 2: Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Lightly grease the plates with butter or oil to prevent sticking.
Step 3: Cook the Waffles
Pour a small ladle of batter onto each section of the waffle iron.
Close the lid and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes, until the waffles are golden brown.
Keep the cooked waffles warm while preparing the rest.
Step 4: Serve the Waffles
Place the waffles on a plate and serve them hot.
Garnish with extra chives and, if desired, pair them with a dipping sauce like sour cream, Greek yogurt, or a light cheese sauce.
